Rotary Club of Sitka
About Our Club
The Sitka Rotary Club meets Tuesdays at noon at the University of Alaska SE Campus, Room 230. We have 36 members and sponsor a number of community events, most of which involve youth.
Our club was founded January 30, 1941 and was sponsored by the Juneau Rotary Club. The first community project of the Sitka Rotary Club was a trout derby held on Swan Lake in August of 1941. That event has been held every year since and is quite popular with young Sitkans.
